The organization's long-term goal is to cultivate a diverse and supportive community that actively promotes the creative potential of women composers. Vox Feminarum's unique approach focuses mainly on supporting minority women in the U.S. and abroad, allowing them to share their music and connect with larger audiences. Our concerts are not limited to vocal performances; they also include instrumental works, art songs, and spoken word pieces, allowing for a broad representation of women's musical contributions across various formats.

We are passionate about building an inclusive global community that appreciates the art of women composers. Vox Feminarum is also committed to organizing major annual events that celebrate and honor the contributions of women in classical music. These events include the "Women in Classical Music" award ceremony, which rotates yearly between New York City, Paris, and Vienna, an annual international competition to foster emerging women composers, and a masquerade ball in New York City that draws inspiration from the iconic Vienna ball.

By providing an international platform, Vox Feminarum strives to cultivate a deeper appreciation for women composers' artistry and inspire future generations of musicians and audiences alike. If you're passionate about supporting our mission or collaborating with us, we invite you to get involved. Stay informed about our upcoming events and initiatives by visiting our website, where you can join us in celebrating the diversity and creativity of women composers. Together, we can reshape the musical landscape and ensure that the contributions of women to the arts are recognized and honored worldwide.

Vox Feminarum is an organization that addresses the long-standing disparity between male and female composers in classical music and musical theater. Through a recent informal survey, we found that not one respondent named a female composer their favorite, underscoring the systemic gap in the recognition and promotion of women composers. This disparity in visibility and representation fuels our mission—to bridge the gap and ensure that the voices of women composers are celebrated on an equal footing with their male counterparts.

Our core focus is presenting original works by women composers in public concerts, providing them with a platform highlighting the diversity of their contributions across all musical forms. Vox Feminarum is committed to showcasing innovative compositions that celebrate vocal and instrumental music through opera, musical theater, song cycles, chamber music, or poetry. By emphasizing the transformative power of the human voice and the artistry of women across musical genres, we aim to reshape the classical music landscape and challenge the norms that have historically excluded women from gaining widespread recognition.

Vox Feminarum seeks to create a vibrant, international platform that unites women composers and fosters collaboration and dialogue between them. We connect these groundbreaking works with audiences around the world, ensuring that women's contributions are seen, heard, and appreciated on a global stage. Our vision is to bridge cultures and inspire international connections through music, recognizing women's unique perspectives and artistic voices from different backgrounds and traditions.
